- Leasing of a factory in Eime/Kreis Alfeld, focussing on meat production only.

In Germany, after the war, a good sales force was of great importance. The first representatives of the successful „Müller’s Sollinger Dosenwurst“ were independent travelling salesmen. Shortly afterwards they were hired full time.
Wholesale traders e.g. Edeka, Spar, Vivo etc approached Müller’s wanting to buy their products.
|
|
1956 - 1959
|
- Turnover increased from 10 pigs per week to approx. 35 pigs per day.
- Most products were canned goods for grocery shops and smaller tins for
supermarkets.
- Deliveries were made by 10 vans based in Eime, they covered the whole of
Northern Germany from Schleswig Holstein to Göttingen.
|
Demand increased so that the factory in Solling soon ran out of production capacity.
In 1958 the company bought the „Alte Molkerei“ in Ebstorf where in 1959 production was started. Turnover increased, pork products in tins and jars were processed from 35 pigs that were slaughtered daily.
As a result of the transfer from Solling to Ebstorf in the Lüneburger Heide, the company was renamed „Müller’s Hausmacher Wurstwaren“. The name remained until 2007 and stands for the market leader in the production of meat specialities in jars and tins.

The factory modernised according to EU regulations produces about 50 tons per day. The products are in jars and tins, the most well known product is Heidefrühstück. The turnover is mainly generated in the domestic market either over the counter or on supermarket shelves. The export market is developing gradually.
There are 150 employees, 20 in sales, 20 in administration and 112 in production.
If it hadn’t been for the fact that they ran out of sausage skins in the early days of production and had to put the meat into tins, who knows we may have never started to produce the top quality sausages and terrines in tins and jars in the Lüneburger Heide.
„Müller’s Hausmacher Wurst“ delivers products throughout Germany. Constantly increasing demand in other countries confirms the popularity of our products beyond present national boundaries.
